The Qur’an: Heavenly or Earthly?

Ancient stories.

Response:

  • For lesson and
  • For remembrance

As the way of Allah does not change.

[This is] the established way of Allah which has occurred before. And never will you find in the way of Allah any change.(48:23)

[This is] the established way of Allah with those who passed on before; and you will not find in the way of Allah any change.(33:62)

[Due to] arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass except its own people. Then do they await except the way of the former peoples? But you will never find in the way of Allah any change, and you will never find in the way of Allah any alteration.(35:43)

familiar stories for people.

Response:

Though they were familiar but some were changed too in the previous scriptures. The correct version should be mentioned in the last and final edition which would be preserved.

Eternal word,eternal text

Response:

Clear misunderstanding as Only Allah is Eternal.

Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish

And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will abide forever.(55:26-27)

stories in previous texts too.

Response:

They were corrupted.

Even if they were really true, the previous books had to be abrogated. The new Book should contain the important ones.

repetition

Response:

The quality of a good and detailed book is that each time the important points to remember, are revised shortly in the chapter. Some examples are the Guyton of physiology or the Davidson of Medicine.

Secondly,Quran is a reminder,for remembrance.So there should be repetition.

Thirdly, almost every time there is a new point in the story.

are the disbelievers corrupt who say so..?

Response:

if the relevant portion of physiology is repeated every time in the related chapter of Medicine,it is a blessing.

Any student or doctor who claims that it is nonsense to repeat it again and again is actually the nonsense himself.

The disbelievers had not gotten the point of revealing the stories, rather they are criticizing.

Differences in stories.

Response:

The earlier texts are not as original as revealed.

And Yes,it denies the myth of borrowing stories from previous scriptures, too.

saving a life is like saving the whole mankind…killing a man is like killing the whole man kind..is this something we all find  in Quran?written centuries before Quran..

Response:

There are other verses too forbidding the killing of innocents.

Say, “Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities – what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason.”(6:151)

And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right. And whoever is killed unjustly – We have given his heir authority, but let him not exceed limits in [the matter of] taking life. Indeed, he has been supported [by the law].(17:33)

And those who invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such life as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse and whoever does this shall receive the punishment.(25:68)

Borrowing stories.

Response:

Difference in stories denies the claim.
